Storyline

We are hoping to create and action/thriller film that could possibly include a robbery or either a kidnapping. The kidnapping will take place because of a multi-millionaire who is holding a grudge over someone who has done him wrong in the past.
The multi-millionaire phones up a couple of hitmen while he is abroad on holiday in Barcelona so he is far away and will not get caught up in the trouble, he then asks them if they can do him a favour by locating the man who is wanted and abducting him from broad daylight. He will then be taken to secret location tied up to a chair with gun pointing towards his head. Once this is done the rich businessman will be given the heads up where he will then phone one of the family members of the person who has been abducted. The businessman will then ask something along the lines of ‘I need £20 000 by midnight otherwise you can say goodbye to your little friend.’
  • At the start of the trailer there will be some opening establishing shots of the stree)ts of luxurious Barcelona where the rich businessman is based.
  •  Next it will be fast paced and switch to an over shoulder shot of the businessman looking out of his apartment in Barcelona. He will then simply say whilst on the phone ‘ I need a job to be completed’
  • The next shot will be of the person who is soon to be abducted, it will be made to look like a normal average day as he walks along the street on his phone holding a cup of coffee.
  • Then out of know where a car pulls round the corner at a fast pace and suddenly pulls up alongside him, we then see a group of thugs jump out the car where they grab a bag and throw it over his head then throw him into the boot of the car.
  • The screen then goes blank where we will then show the release date of the film.
  • The next scene will be bright lights then show the character strapped to a chair screaming ‘why am I here’
  • One of the thugs will then walk over and hold the phone to his ear and it will be the businessman on the phone and he will tell him about the situation he is in.
  • The businessman will then say ‘you have one phone call make it and important one’
  • It will then go back to the main character and show him on the phone begging for his family to help him out and pay the money
  • Another character will then be introduced and he will say in a dramatic way ‘ we can’t do this we need to fight’
  • There will then be a mix of fast pace clips of the brother fighting to get his brother back with tense music in the background which builds up and then suddenly stops for the final clip.
  • The final clip will be the brother walking into a room with blood on his face where the businessman sits a couple of feet away from him.

How have used media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? · Comment on your influences. In your planning where did you take some inspiration from and how did this become realised in your final productions. Include some snips and analyse in detail. We took inspiration from the film Taken which is a well know franchise which was first introduced 2008 which stared Liam Neeson and was directed by Pierre Morel, with the last of the three films being released in 2014. We took inspiration from this film because we had an idea from what our trailer was going to be about which included someone being kidnapped for what there brother has done as a kind of revenge attack. We realised in our final production that we took inspiration from the film Taken because our story line was based on a business man being held to ransom by kidnappers who took his brother because of a deal that went wrong with his past business partner.  In this image you can see

Avatar: Trailer Analysis Dramatic camera shots and angles The dramatic shots and angles in this trailer are very effective and well used because it helps to draw the audience into the film and to make them forget about every day life helping them become emerged in the film. An example of a camera shot used would be an extreme close up of the characters eyes at the start of the trailer, this camera shot is effective because it shows the audience parts of his facial expression and you are able to see into his eyes which look angry.
