The dramatic shots and angles in this trailer are very effective and well used because it helps to draw the audience into the film and to make them forget about every day life helping them become emerged in the film. An example of camera work in this trailer is when a close up of Jack Sparrow is used to show his facial expressions which change throughout the trailer, one example of his facial expression was when he looked really concentrated on the ocean ahead of him. This suggests that he has seen something which has caught his eye and is looking to get closer so he can get a better look.
Genre indicators
This trailer is a good genre indicator because the trailer gives the audience a lot of information about the film. For example during the trailer you are able to see that this film is based on a pirate who is trying to fix the cruse which has been placed upon him and other pirates, and the only way it can be fixed is if they sacrifice a certain person. From this trailer you can also tell that this film is going to be based on pirates which means that that people who like pirates are going to want to watch this film. This film also indicates that this film is going to be an action adventure film because their is a story line which involves an adventure, as well you are able to see that from the trailer it involves lots of action in it.
Unique selling point
The unique selling point in this trailer for the film Pirates of the Caribbean the Curse of the Black Pearl is that it includes lots of big actors, for example the film includes Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley who have stared in may popular and famous films which are liked by lots of people. Another unique selling point is that this film is about pirates which their are not many films on which makes this film one of the most successful pirate films ever made.

Creativity Reflection How did you use media forms to come up with something new and original? Where did your ideas come from? Our ideas came from watching some action thriller films like Taken. We decided to watch this film because we decided to make our film an action thriller because we wanted to include chase scenes and action scenes. We also wanted to include a main protagonist who is a secret agent which is trying to investigate a case, we decided to have a secret agent because it made the film more realistic and a thriller.
