(Post-Production)
Post-Production Reflection
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
From our audience feedback we have learnt that the audience both liked parts of the short film but also thought that there were some parts for improvements. For example the audience said that they enjoyed the action scenes because it was intense and engaging for them to watch, they also said that they enjoyed the editing in the short film especially when some of the scenes faded to black. But the audiences also said that there were some room for improvements, for example they said that the audio wasn't loud enough because they couldn't hear the voices in some of the scenes. This means next time we will need to improve our audio by filming with a better camera which picks up sound better and more effectively.
What editing decisions were made? How did they inform the production?
We decided to use fade to black in some scenes because we fought it was necessary to add because it separated scenes and lead to a change in scene as well. This informed the production of the film because it made the short film look more professional and appealing to watch.
What particular editing tools were used and to what effect?
Fade to black was used in our film because we used it to open and close scenes so we could lead it to a total different scene to make the editing less jumpy. We also used a cutting tool which helped us to cut down clips which were to long to make the scenes run more smooth and to look less jumpy.
How did the post-production process enhance the overall production?
The post production process helped improve the overall production because it gave us some ideas which would improve the films production which would make the film look more professional and engaging for the audience to watch.
