Dramatic camera shots and angles
The dramatic shots and angles in this trailer are very effective and well used because it helps to draw the audience into the film and to make them forget about every day life helping them become emerged in the film. An example of a camera shot used would be an extreme close up of the characters eyes at the start of the trailer, this camera shot is effective because it shows the audience parts of his facial expression and you are able to see into his eyes which look angry.
Genre indicators
This trailer is a good genre indicator because the trailer gives the audience a lot of information about the film. For example during the trailer you are able to see that this film is based on a disabled man who has been sent to a new planet to make contact with these new species of alien, they have transformed him into on of the aliens and are making him talk to them to let the humans take over which leads to a massive war. From this trailer it also tells us that it is going to be a sci fi film because it is set on a new planet which has aliens on it which aren't related to humans.
Unique selling point
The unique selling point in this trailer for the film Avatar is that it is directed by James Cameron who has worked on films like Titanic, Aliens and Terminator which are very popular to people who like a mixture of genres. This film also includes actors like Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington who have been in many popular and successful films throughout the years. Another unique selling point is that the film includes lots of new and fancy technology which made the film more appealing to people because they wanted to see how much better the new technology improved the film, making it the biggest grossing film in the world.

Psycho: Trailer Analysis Audience This trailer is for the film Psycho which was released in 1960, this film was given the age rating of 15 because it included strong material like violence, strong language and nudity. This film will appeal to mostly a male and female audience that like old fashioned horror movies which are in black and white like this one. This will also appeal to people that like the actors who star in the film, for example Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh who have been in film like The Lonely Man and The Naked Spur. How have used media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? · Comment on your influences. In your planning where did you take some inspiration from and how did this become realised in your final productions. Include some snips and analyse in detail. We took inspiration from the film Taken which is a well know franchise which was first introduced 2008 which stared Liam Neeson and was directed by Pierre Morel, with the last of the three films being released in 2014. We took inspiration from this film because we had an idea from what our trailer was going to be about which included someone being kidnapped for what there brother has done as a kind of revenge attack. We realised in our final production that we took inspiration from the film Taken because our story line was based on a business man being held to ransom by kidnappers who took his brother because of a deal that went wrong with his past business partner.  In this image you can see
